The annual general meeting took place on Monday 20 June at the usual venue and no surprises were in store. The meeting itself went relatively smoothly with a fairly large attendance. Fraser Maclean was returned as Club Chairman and Bob Wares was returned as vice chairman. Jacquie Macdonald was re elected to the post of secretary and May Smith was also re elected to her post as treasurer.
The committee were re elected en bloc. So its more of the same for next season when we kick off in September with Graeme Mackay and Duncan Farquhar as guests.
After the meeting the crowd were entertained by Sandy Ross from Lochcaron. He had the three row button box with him and played some fantastic stuff. Sandy is a very capable player and is no stranger to pen and paper and is a previous winner of the Club "own Composition" title.
Sandy played right across the board and still had several medleys he had hoped to play but sadly was beaten by the old enemy called time.
The crowd really enjoyed Sandy's playing and set off for their summer break in good spirits. Sandy had made sure of that and played the old favourite "Haste ye Back" as the crowd were dispersing.
What a fabulous end to a fabulous season and whilst it is never a good thing to wish your life away, it seems such a long time to wait till September for a brand new season.
